TorreyDavone, the Montgomery, Alabama native born October 7th, grew up listening to “classics” like Al Green, Outkast, and Nelly while his mother would clean up on Saturday mornings. With a remote in hand as his microphone, he would jump on his mother’s bed and recite lyrics as if he wrote them. Life wasn’t tough, gracefully his family was blessed. With this blessing, TorreyDavone chose to return the blessing by taking part in community activities as a child with his mother. While in high school, TorreyDavone was his school’s mascot during his freshman and sophomore years. With being the school’s first mascot in a few years, TorreyDavone gained school popularity and began hosting parties after Friday night football games for his peers. While throwing parties, Torrey wanted to find ways to lower his party cost to participants, but still provide a show to the people, and he did. During his junior year of high school, TorreyDavone began performing as the DJ for school pep rallies and soon began launching his own events. After growing much buzz and gaining more attention, TorreyDavone earned a spot as DJ at Looney’s Super Skate assuming the Tuesday night shifts, then Friday nights, then Saturdays, and ultimately became the house DJ all within a month’s time! TorreyDavone understands servant leadership as a proactive citizen in his community and volunteers often reaching back to help others. Since graduating May 2015, TorreyDavone has also served a stint as the house DJ at the 50/50 club in downtown Montgomery; and was identified as a college scholarship recipient now pursuing a degree in Graphic Design. He has a plan not to leave any opportunity to enhance his success on the table.
